    Is upsampling when you take a 16 bit recording and upsample to 24bit? I just got a xp30 dvd player and it claims to do that.
    Wish I was a polkologist then I could call my self Dr.warviper.

    Yes, it will take whatever the bit rate is and upsample it to 24 bit (or whatever the the upsample rate is), also it will upsample to 96kHz up to 192kHz ideally.
