6SN7 Tubes

Hello all,

My preamp uses 4 6SN7 Chinese I believe (no brand on them) tubes I would like to replace.

My amp uses and additional 2 - currently have some Electro Harmonix in it.

So I'm looking for 4 for the Preamp and 2 for the Amp

I was thinking of buying the Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB's but thought I would give Club Polk a shot first.

Anyone have any Shuguang Treasures they are not using and would like to sell them? Even if its a pair, I would like to try these..

As always, all recommendations are welcomed...remember, I'm trying to get some decent 6SN7's that I can use and enjoy for a while....

Any thoughts on the Sylvania 6SN7WGTA or the Tung-SOL 6SN7GTB NOS or Tung-SOL 6SN7GTB NEW REALEASE???


The new release Tung-sol tubes are about 20 bucks a piece. The NOS are a little more but if they are good I will buy them for the amp and then buy a different quad for the preamp.

I wouldn't walk across the street for new release Tung-Sol's they are just Russian tubes with a different name. My favorites are the Sylvania 6sn7wgta as well as Sylvania 6sn7 gtb chrome domes. Ebay is your friend I have found a couple of very good sellers that sell very nice and accurate description of the tubes "testing and such"

to be honest I have been hoarding some for myself and just keep looking and be prepared to bid accordingly and do not get carried away and pay WAY TOO much more will come by ..
