Cheap Thrill

I was at an indoor flea market at one of the local elementary schools a few weeks back. What's that I see? A subwoofer, Polk PSW10 to be exact. Nice condition, seller says it works fine. How much? $5, ehh I don't have a need for another sub, but why not I say. Wife sees me carting this thing back to the car gives me the look. It was only $5 I tell her, how could I resist.
So I clean it up, test it out, & it does indeed work fine. Now I'm asking myself, what am I going to do with it? Hmm, my son's modest system doesn't have a sub. I may regret this, but why not. Better than having it sit in the closet. I've had to ratchet the sub volume down a couple of times to keep us sane, but my son loves it. BTW, he's only 7 & much to my wifes dismay looks to be taking after me.

How many who read this can relate? Hoo-Boy! Have I been there!
Enjoy, Dave. Sounds like a nice score! -

Always cool to get a good deal.

So, what's he listening to Dave?
For $5, that's the kind of thing you just buy and give to the first person you see. -
That's awesome Dave!
I had a similar proud moment when my 14 year old daughter wanted a "real" stereo in her room. After several months she says the little Mirage M590i towers are ugly. And wants to paint them purple now!--Gary--
Onkyo Integra M504, Bottlehead Foreplay III, Denon SACD, Thiel CS2.3, NHT VT-2, VT-3 and Evolution T6, Infinity RSIIIa, SDA1C and a few dozen other speakers around the house I change in and out. -

So far he's mostly into movie soundtracks & stuff meant for kids, Pirates of the Caribbean, Spiderman, Imagination Movers, etc. He's also in the childrens choir at church. They give the kids CD's so they can practice & he's been singing along to that. It's pretty cute. -

The Imagination movers rock! I still remember my daughter at about 15 months would get up at 6:00 on Saturday and I would let the wife sleep in (its the little things that let you get that audio through the door without the look fellas ;-) and we would watch that show together. Lots of great songs. My twins don't dig it as much, but all the kids love music. Lots of singalongs in the car, and Bennett won't let me drive him anywhere without yelling "Music, Music please!"
