I bought it with the upgrade package for what its worth, better cart, wool mat, better belt.

i also paid to have allen at Audio alternatives set up the whole shebang for 50 bucks.

not a kings ransom, i know, but it has never tracked properly on the 45 rpm fleetwood mac rumours, which we sent back, which was very dissapointing.

And now, a master pressing of "Best of bread.

I know, i know, its bread, but listen to the side with,"It dont matter to me", and think of losing your most precious loved one,
wanting to play this old standard, and one channel resorting to scratchiness, you will know my frustration.

I just replaced with with "Donald Fagens The nightfly", and it sounds perfect.

I am using a carbon fiber audioquest brush, and a mr. clean magic eraser, as far as cleaning.

I have not cleaned either one with my disc washer, as they are new, never played when i got them.

Any experienced advice would be most appreciated.

    I think Bread is great.

What are you using for the phono preamp? Is this a matter of the settings of a phono preamp, or is the cartridge actually not physically aligned correctly? Need to narrow this down some, given the numerous possibilities involved.

    Two Channel Setup:

    Speakers: Wharfedale Opus 2-3
    Integrated Amp: Krell S-300i
    DAC: Arcam irDac
    Source: iMac
    Remote Control: iPad Mini

    3.2 Home Theater Setup:

    Fronts: Klipsch RP-160M
    Center: Klipsch RP-160M
    Subwoofer: SVS PB12NSD (X 2)
    AVR: Yamaha Aventage RX-A2030
    Blu Ray: Sony BDP-S790
    TV Source: DirecTV Genie

I would recommend that you clean any and all new lp's before playing the first time. There is a lot of gunk on a new pressing, wax release compounds and whatnot. The thickness of the new 180-200 gram albums could be **** up your VTA or your anti- skate settings, both will change with the different album weights.

Yes, clean all new LPs before playing. Mold release compounds can cause havoc on recording quality.
