Noticed that no matter how much I try to lower my spikes I cant get good contact to the floor and my speakers are not stable. I need sharp carpet spikes for my 705s. wouldn't take much of a hit from my 5 year old son to knock these babies over where they are now. The right speaker is right in the walkway into the living room.

What size and where to buy please?

They should have come with skinny sharp spikes.

Breaking that carpet backing can be tuff. Depends on whats underneath that carpeting and if you care about the wood floor under the carpet. Concrete under, I'd just use a nail to puncture a hole in the carpet. The spikes will leave marks once you move the speaker.

If your worried about the wood floor under the carpet, then maybe adding a granite or wood slab on top for the spikes to sit on is a better approach. Some even claim better bass response that way too.

Not sharp enough obviously. Had ni probs at my condo prior. Speakers fit solid like a tank. Thats a good idea with the nail.. will try that. No idea whats under rhe carpet but dont think its hardwood. I've used stone slabs in the past thst are 12x12 but these speakers are much longer.. have to measure.but dont know If 18" squares would work.

18" slab would work but with the speaker near a pathway i want them firmly on the ground so first ill try a thick nail to peirce the carpet backing.

MIT also offers jumpers, the new StyleLine and the tried and true Shotgun version. www.mitcables.com

BTW HDTVAV, they are simply called spikes as they can be used on any surface.
