Hey guys.
Time to clear out the closet (and under the futon, the bedroom armoire, etc...).
For you Yammie fans -
Yamaha HTR-5540 receiver and DV-S5550 DVD player. These are the guts of the YHT500 (I think that's the number) HTIB that sold at BB last year for about $500. I sold off the speakers a couple of months ago here on the forum and since I have upgraded my main rig rcv the former main rig rcv is getting moved to rig2 and this former rig2 rcv is getting moved out the door. Receiver has DD 5.1, DTS and PLII. 75w/channel. DVD player is non-prog scan but a very nice, stable player. It has played anything that I have thrown at it thusfar (as far as rented scratched up discs and such that my Toshiba sd4800 freezes up on).
Both are in Like New Condition and will ship with original remotes and manuals in the original boxes. I'll let them go here for $190 plus shipping (2 boxes). I'll send the BB receipt dated 10/24/03 for warranty purposes if you like. This is pretty much what I paid minus a few bucks for the speakers...it was an open box that was mis-priced. I'm figuring I could get a little more on ebay but wanted to offer them up here first. Right now I am really only interested in selling the items as a pair. This is a steal guys...the 5540 retailed for $299 and the DVD player retailed for $149. Pix will follow below.

HK3375 (Z) stereo receiver. #sold#
Bought this about 2 months ago off of Harman Audio's ebay store. Nice 75w/channel stereo receiver with remote, manual and all accessories. Will ship in original box. Works perfectly and has a couple of very minor blemishes (light scuffing on top of unit, a tiny little scratch on the top edge of the center of the faceplate, volume knob has a couple of scuffs - it was a refurb so it came with them). $150 plus shipping. #sold#
Toshiba SD-3109 DVD player
This was my first DVD player and it still works perfectly. Dual tray which is kind of nice for two disc DVD sets. I paid like $250 3 (or maybe 4?) years ago - refurb off of Ubid.com. Nice player though. Non-prog scan, but does have a built-in decoder and 5.1 outs if any of you have an old Pro-Logic "DD ready" receiver with the 5.1 inputs but no built-in decoder. Please note this will not play cdr/rw's. I don't think I have the original box but will pack securely. Remote and manual included.
$35 plus shipping.
AR 215PS bookshelf speakers - SOLD TO KINGTUT
Nice pair of little AR bookshelf speaks. About 2 years old, purchased new from Ubid. Black finish. 5 1/4 woof and 1" tweet. Pretty good sounding - pretty comparable to a pair of R10's or R15's. These sound good with mid-fi gear (my old Pioneer integrated amp from the 80's made these things sing). According to the manual freq response is 75-20k, although to my ears they sound like they go a bit lower than that. Power handling 20-100 watts, ohms. I'll post pics if anyone is interested. I'm not sure if I have the original box anymore...couldn't find it the last time I was in the attic. $25 plus shipping. SOLD
Okay, I think that is all for today. Thanks!

Great prices brotha!
I'll comment on a couple items up, first the HK receiver. Take a look at the REAR pic of it fellas. Notice the pre-out/main-in jumpers? You got it. $150 for a remote-controlled 2ch HK preamp. Not discounting the internal amps - I've heard this model run - and it sounds REALLY good - but you do have an upgrade path if you are ready to start on a dedicated 2ch rig.
Next, the little AR's. Not a classic AR, but a NICE little shelf speaker, especially for the price here. Great for there own rig in maybe an office / guest room, and they would make OUTSTANDING rear channels HT to boot. Straight forward speaker, with a very simple crossover - easy to tweak, or just leave it alone.
Someone should snatch these goodies up! Buy with confidence, I haven't bought directly from woody, but I've ended up with gear he had sold - and it's always better than described.
Cheers,

Oh, and I forgot to mention...the HK has a pair of sub pre-outs too...kind of rare for a stereo rcv. It really is a nice unit. I just have too much gear right now.system 1:

Thanks for all of the nice comments guys. Shack, I bought this HK trying to fill the void that the DRA685 I sold you left in my heart. The HK is nice, but doesn't quite have the oomph of the Denon. But it does cost less.system 1:

I've got the yammie pre from Woody. There was a mixup on the shipping costs but he shipped it out anyways. Good guy to deal with.
