I spoke with Gary Dodd of Dodd Audio this afternoon. He is a wonderful guy who is having a very tough go of it. Gary recently had his aorta replaced, and he faces about eight months of very difficult recovery. He is the sole breadwinner in the family, and times are very tough financially. The Dodd's phone, TV and cell service have been turned off. They narrowly avoided being without gas during the twenty degree weather in the Dallas area this week, and their electrical service may be next. Even their house is in peril.

A while back, another of Gary's friends, Bill Campanale, set up a fundraising page for the Dodds at GoFundMe (http://www.gofundme.com/1yn4rc), to try to ease the burdens they face.

If you can, please consider makng a donation -- any amount helps. It will be good karma and help out a nice family facing some very difficult times.

Thanks.

I've been meaning to try to contact Gary, but I wasn't sure if he was well enough yet to take calls, so I'm glad that you were able to talk to him. I heard after his very serious heart surgery and complications he developed pancreatitis. I'm going to put something up for sale on the for sale forum and donate the proceeds to Gary, and I would encourage others to do the same or otherwise contribute in your own way. Every little bit helps, he's going through tremendously tough times, so please consider sending him a donation. We tend to forget about how hard it is during the recovery process, its not just the surgery, he's had some really really trying times and they are going to continue for some time before he's back to full health.
