Just picked it up today & havent had time to play with it yet. I dont know much about this brand-Premier Acoustic pa150 & i got it for a very fair price from another CP member & its in 9/10 condition (lite scratches on gloss top) So i bought it on a whim. Its a heavy bugger (87lbs) Wife didnt say nothing. So im not sure she noticed or she has had the flu & doesnt care. But i guarantee she will say something soon im looking forward to moving it to a different spot once our recliners show up WHEN they get to this state i did some research & did find some good reviews & it seems as the 120 has some also. So for 160 bucks i hope to get some bang on movies

Have you ever heard if this brand. I didnt find too much info on them? I found specs but had me wondering..

Not personally but eBay has them for $499 new.
For ht, my cheap radioshack optimus 10" sub works and premier acoustic looks like much better build, has more power, bigger and goes deeper.
All you have to do is to do a sub crawl or measure for best location.

I bet its a great HT subwoofer, and might even be a little better than that if its a sealed cabinet; congrats!

PA makes ok stuff. I was considering some used PA-8 towers, center, and surrounds at one time but I think I did better by finding used Polk. Anyway, the PA150 seem good above 50Hz for a 15" but just OK under that...about equal to something like a smaller HSU. But for $160 spent, you did alright!Audioholics wrote:From 50Hz on up, the PA-150 can deliver between 114-118dB in CEA 2010 burst testing (reported at 2 meters, RMS), which is a considerable leap above what any other subwoofer here is capable of. On the downside, the limitations of the 15 driver are also readily apparent: while capable of prodigious output from 40Hz on up, the PA-150s output below 32Hz is a bit more ordinary for the group. At 25Hz, the PA-150 was only able to deliver 98.6dB; while thats not too shabby considering the price tag, it isnt materially better than the cheaper, smaller Hsu STF-2 either. The measurements also indicate that the PA-150 would (perhaps counter-intuitively given its size) be very well suited for a smaller space where room gain could boost the bottom end, resulting in a more linear response profile, not to mention a boatload of output..

Thanks for info. I was able to get fair amount of tome with it on today. Watched a couple of movies & Mrs's watched couple of 24's also. Very impressed with it & should get better as we get it adjusted & placement in order..
