I have not rebuilt dozens like westmassguy, but the 1/2 dozen or so I have done I have used hurricane nuts on all with 100% success. Easy to use and you can really snug up the drivers. -
I'll bet Draco is thinking about T-nuts. They don't hold well in particle board type materials.
