Hey guys, wanting honest opinions and your fair estimates. I'm thinking about getting out of this hobby, however I have made a fair investment in it obviously. The AVR, Amp, and all the speakers listed in my sig, what do you guys think the equipment would be worth on CL, Ebay, or in the FS section? The whole system would be spectacular for someone to just take but not many have that much disposable cash haha! Thoughts?

What's wrong? Do you need some money ASAP? Because you have a nice system there, why would you want OUT?

Nothing crushing! Just thinking about getting out of it and investing in another for a while. I'd definately come to this later and build a new system. Once I heard what a good system could do, theres no going back to a system in a box!! This is just a possibility though, not a definate deal. Just figuring out options.AVR - Onkyo NR809

Hey Snake,
One option would be to kick-back and just enjoy the tunes for a while. You've come this far not to . . .
You can always liquidate in the fall
Just a thought!

Your main issue is lots of your pieces are rather large and cost prohibitive to ship (amp, fronts, etc). Your 809 may get you some but because of Accessories4Less you wont get "that" good a price used and you need to price your AVR under their prices when they were selling them.
If it was me I would look to sell local piece by piece starting with the amp since you "can" run the RTi's off the AVR... then once the amp sells, sell the center and surrounds so you still have stereo sound...
Then sell the fronts and AVR....
As far as prices, the AVR you need to price under A4L. The speakers need to be under Polks ebay site and if shipped the same which is about impossible to do and not be under water on the cost.
Amp you can sell for standard used prices and you might make money on it..."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

NP. If I was in the market the 809 would be intriguing as it was one of the AVR's I was looking at."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)
