Pair of Monitor 60's blown tweeters.
My Onkyo ht-rc360 recently started showing "check sp wire". On both of my Monitor 60's the tweeters were blown. Can this cause this issue that im having. I removed the tweeters and the problem hasn't returned but im still not sure.
Thank you
Thank you

You need to restate your problems, but over-driving the Ht-rc360 amp most likely blew your tweeters. When you tweeters blew it caused an open circuit, the wires burned into.POLK SDA 2.3 TLS BOUGHT NEW IN 1990, Gimpod/Sonic Caps/Mills RDO-198

Sorry about that. The receiver would turn off and show " check sp wire " . Could the burned out tweeters have caused the receiver to turn off when I turned up the volume because of the short? -
