Did you run the Audessey setup on the receiver yet? I have a PSW10 myself and in all honesty, it just isn't very good.

The sub is very muddy. It's got terrible cone control and overall is not a very good sub.

    Good Evening,
I would suggest the Polk PSW505.
As I personally have upgraded from the PSW10 about a week ago.

    Ah. Okay.
Here is my review especially if on a budget.
    Specs
    80% TV
    20%Music
    Pioneer 823-k
    Polk Monitor70 SII
    Polk CS2
    Polk Fxi3
    Polk PSW505
Well, I have upgraded to the Polk PSW505 recently from the "Polk PSW10"
The psw10 worked well with my initial mains(tsi100). But when I bought the M70
The psw10 was just not eneough.

In my opinion the psw10 was very good with music, but felt over driven a lot.
It did sound "punchy" rather than "boomy". Which was great for music like rock/orchestra/country/ classical and some
Pop music , EDM was not so great along with some rap.

When it came to movies, it just fell short even with my tsi100.
But I bought psw10 with a cs10 and a Pioneer 522-k on craiglist for dirt cheap.
So it was my intial start in the Home Audio world since I was in my teens lol.

My suggestion/recommendation would be the Polk PSW505.
Because you can find great deals on them, they perform very well in all aspects.
Could find them used for real cheap, just beware of the grill is prone to breakage.

After a hour of receiving the Polk PSW505. Personally I was in shock how much of a difference it made.
Yes it was a "wow" factor.
Popped in my man of steel bluray.
The action scene in smallville and the end was phenomenal.
Rather then "hearing" the explosions I "felt" them. Which was difficult for the psw10 to produce.
My room was pressurized. My wife and I watched Gravity she was "absolutely" impressed.
Her exact words "good job babe, now it sounds like a theatre".
And for music, it acted a little BUT different did fine.
I listened to some electronic Music and was much better.
I popped in some Pink Floyd, Van Halen, smashing pumpkins, Jimi Hendrix and others.
It sounded great just was a bit more hooky than the psw10 which was fine considering their is more pros than cons.

Anyways, I hope this helps. I have listened to other subs in best buy and Frys and none of which sound good nor great
Which I know it was "highly"likely of there source, gear, room and the damn customer service lol.

    Cheers and Godspeed,
    Richard
