I've been thinking about trying the Zensor 3s just for a bit of fun. Reviews seem very favorable and would indicate they are a player in their price point.

Very kind offer. Please don't go out of your way. I'm just a bit curious about them. The < 1K bookshelf speaker market is an interesting one. Lots of quality options and these would seem to be candidates.

Also have a local Dali dealer here. Same guy I purchased my Totems from. He told me during a conversation one time that Dali speakers in general were probably the pickiest he'd ever had about the room and setup they were in. However, if you could get the room right, they would reward you big time for it. You're right, the $1K price point is kind of a sweet spot for bookies. Enough choices to make your head spin.

I was also a fan of the Dali speaks, their older line anyway. I dug their sound but they always seemed less coherent from top to bottom than some of their competitors.

Interesting responses. So, not an overwhelming favorite like I thought they might be.

I find the Dali Zensor's really quite good for the relatively low cost - they are dynamic, quite efficient and not bright which let' down many budget designs. I added a pair of Dali Zensor 5 towers to my home theater set up three months ago and have been very pleased with the improvement over Monitor Audio BX 5's which I had previously.
