I do not tire of them quickly at all but rather see something else and think ' oh I read great reviews on that'

I will be loading up pictures later today when I have the time so bear with me. I can shrink the pics now I have sorted everything out with the seller and its good to know the damage is only superficial.

The glass you can get replacement for. They can take a hit and keep going. I am surprised if they were in the mac boxes that it got shattered but, as pit said, frozen would most likely be why especially if dropped or hit.

The mac boxes are impressive. Both the Mc6900 i had and the MC402 i am currently using, the boxes themselves weigh in more then a lot of amplifiers! I am sorry that happened to you but, the good news if insurance isnt going to cover it, replacement parts are no problem to get. I am a sucker for the Mac VU's . Its has hypnotizing as Rick 88 pic in post #34!.

I'm not one to fan flames and throw fuel on a fire, but that PFB pic was taken on 2/15/14, 13 days before the claimed shipping mishap...............my guess is the real/factual story about buying a cracked up amp just wasn't fantastic enough by itself.

Giving up on my VK-30 already eh? Saw you have it on Ebay. Good luck trying to make that kind of profit on my old one. Drop your price by $500 and you might spark some interest. Your competing with a dealer who is selling a demo with the BAT-6-Pack caps for the same price.

Well Dennis thats because I had to charge up the camera to take a picture of the damage and the date settings on the camera need to be updated. How come I dont even know the date on it? There are way too many skeptics about my posts and I have never been wrong once or told a lie ? I bought these on the 15th just to put your mind at rest.

Well Bill I dont like how it sounds with the 501's so I decided to sell. I know I wont get the asking price but I put best offer because I know that no matter what price you list something for you always get offered less. Hey Enders maybe you should stop smoking meth and you can have money for better audio equipment. Or are you implying that I am a looser who partakes in the unsavory?

Hey Enders maybe you should stop smoking meth and you can have money for decent audio equipment lol

Nah the meth makes my MP3's sound better.. easier than a cable upgrade.....

Plus I tend to just lay on the floor and watch the ceiling fan spin, which keeps me from stumbling across my center channel I put on a laundry basket, into my projector and through my projection screen, to land on my amp and break the binding posts on my Kimber speaker cables

Whoa boy...so much to say, so little time. And being that I have already gotten a ban once for calling a **** a ****, I think I will hold my tongue here.

Anyway, good luck. Hope it all works itself out in the end for you.

Were's Tony anyways? He is usually the voice of reason on these threads but give me sh$t on a stick at the same time.

Well there is like 5 members reading this thread but none of their names are listed at the bottom. Does that mean they have me on ignore but are just not sticking to their principles by reading the thread?

Anyways If you guys want I will send Tony the listing from where I bought itand the UPS tracking numbers because people calling me out or thinking I am BS'n just gets really old to me.

I hate to say it, and I know I won't change your mind, but you aren't giving any of these pieces long enough to fully appreciate them. First, the BAT I sent you had brand new tubes in it. Unless you put 200 or more hours on it, you're not really hearing it. 2nd, the best part about the VK-30 (compared to the other BATs that use the 6h30) is that you can tailor the sound by tube rolling. If you didn't like what you heard, swap tubes. There are dozens of good choices for 6922 equivalent tubes. Want it more crisp highs and tighter bass, put some vintage Russian 6N23P-EV in, want it more laid back, put some vintage Matsuhita 7DJ8s in; more euphoric, put in some Telfunkens or Amperex. Lots of choices.

You'll never be happy with a system if you don't quit looking to the next piece.

Also, regarding your pricing, I know you have to ask for more than you expect, but you can also price yourself out of any offers because people think you are not serious. The listing looked very hasty to me. Blurry cell phone photos and a severe lack of detail in the description.

Oh...I'm here. Just taking in the entertainment factor. I have to ask you though, have you not learned yet about shipping stuff ? You know the Mac has glass fronts...you know it's colder than a witches t&t outside.....you know it's going to get bounced around. You really surprised the glass is broke ?

In any event, sorry it happened, sucks. Your certainly rolling some nice pieces and I'm not here to question the whys or hows. You do need to settle down some and just enjoy the music bro. Hard to imagine you couldn't be happy with anything you've rolled in the last 6 months.

You get an itch to spend some extra money....buy some real estate, invest in something for your future. Believe me, time flies by and before ya know it you'll want to exit the work force and become a beach bum. Don't keep blowing coin on high end, you'll never turn a profit. Pick a system, be happy, invest the extra. Hows that for a "voice of reason" ?
