I will be hooking these two together this weekend and wondered if I should let the Pioneer do the decoding or the Oppo? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Usually you should have the player do the decoding... For some reason, a lot of receivers have issues decoding some movies and the fix is to have the players do the decoding....

I would try it both ways and see which you like better. From some reviews I've seen, the Darbee on the Oppo doesn't work so well for Blu-ray but does for standard dvd discs. Pioneer is no slouch either when processing video.HT SYSTEM-

I can't speak on the Oppo but both the Pioneer units I had worked great decoding the signal from my PS3. Plus I like being able to see the format on the display.2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Mirage Omni S8 sub1 | Mirage Omni S8 Sub2
