Due out this coming Tuesday. What a fantastic set list of stars in this one. Has anyone seen this before? I think it was on PBS at least once. Here's hoping for a nice transfer... more info here:

Definitely getting this concert! I was turned on to the recording after hearing Pearl Jam's rendition of Master's of War. Must have been 1993 or so. It was the album that turned me on to Dylan. Anyway..... STELLAR LINEUP!
KEF Q50 mains, M&K center, Boston Acoustics surround, Marantz SR6007 pre, Emotiva UPA-700, Pioneer DV-46AV, Samsung BD-j7500, Sunfire HRS12 subwoofer

Picked up my copy of this one today. Wow! SO many great acts, it's hard to pick just one favourite (so far, haven't heard it all yet). Tracy Chapman, Neil Young, Johnny Cash, Eddie Vedder, The Band, Eric Clapton, Lou Reed, George Harrison, Chrissie Hynde, and on and on...

Anyway, for those who are wondering, the picture is great!. Just a tad soft maybe, but I feel I'm nit picking, it's a very watchable transfer (hear that, whoever did the Crossroads Guitar Festival from 2013, you CAN shoot great video in MSG.) Of note, the only audio option is an LPCM stereo track, no multi channel. Again, don't think you'll miss an MC track, this one is awesome. I'm listening in 2.2, and maybe a little light on LFE, but great clarity and presence.

If you're leaning towards getting this release after you've seen the set list of songs AND artists, don't think you'll regret picking up the blu-ray.

"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

I've seen it also and wondered why at both the Band's Last Walt and Bob's 30th Jerry was not to be found. They play a bunch of his tunes, they were friends for years played on tour w/ each other. The Dead as Dylan's backing band and on tour w/ The Band since the early 70's w/The Festival Express (also a concert movie) going from the east coast of Canada to the west. People at the Dozin site, rabid Dead heads know that neither The Dead or Jerry Band was on tour during the Last Waltz and it was certainly local enough to practically walk to Winterland. Not sure about were they were for Bob's 30th bash. It was a great show. One reason was that was mentioned was Jerry was not mainsteam enough which is nutty because The Dead were for the most part of their end run the one of the higher grossing bands around. No need to list players that's been covered.

I gave this a second listen last night. Really liked Tracy Chapman's version of "The Times They Are A Changin'", Neil Young doing "All Along The Watchtower" and especially liked Johnny Winter doing "Highway 61". All the singing was great except, well, Bob's :)
