A carver tfm 45 came and went on my local CL. In your opinion is that amp worth $250? I'm looking for something better then my NAD 2400 to feed my 1Cs.

    $250 is a very good price for a 45.

    375wpc @ 8ohms...

It should be a very good amp for virtually any speaker. No clue whether it is common ground or not though.

Snag it up now. If you dont like it, I can get a buyer for it VERY quick and you can get your full price back more than likely.

As long as it doesnt need a recap, they were a solid amp! Good sounding especially for the $. They were common ground and can run SDA, and good to drop to 2 ohms as I heard my carver amazing when I had them on a 45

Well that amp is no longer available.
    Better how?

Due to my limited knowledge I really don't know how to answer that. Hopfully someone here can. On a previous post you indicated that the 2400 would work but I would not get out of them what they are capable of.

At this point I am only researching, so what might be a better choice. And just to narrow it down let's assume a $300 budget. Not that I'm set on this amount, but i think this figure could be doable.
