SDA Colors?

Today at work a friend of mine was showing me some pictures of a guitar he was restoring. He told me he was going to paint it Viper "Toxic Orange" like a Dodge Viper he saw...... Well, being the audio addict that some say I am. I instantly started imagining what some sort of "car color" would look like on my SDA1Bs. Yep" I must be loony. But can't help but wonder if anyone here has ever got "creative" with their SDA color choice?... pics would be awesome......

Clearly, you'll be removing the woodgrain vinyl and doing a sh!tload of finish work, before spraying color!

I'll try to search again later. Nikolas812 painted some end caps piano black on some 1Cs. There were a lot of pics when they were sold. Looked really nice. There were some painted purple from a Denver CL add. I'm going to go with the tiger maple end caps when I change mine.
He repainted some LSi9s the same way, and then added maple end caps. The paint looked so nice it was almost a shame to put the wood back on. -
Mine are the Studio versions. Shurkey, do you think I should remove the vinyl veneer, It looks like Polk just painted over it for the studio version. I was thinking just some glazing puddy and allot of sanding, Then a primer that will stick to plastic, before topcoat.... What you fellas think?..... If I do decide to go with a solid color, It's gotta be some sort of vintage automotive color....... So many choices.....

Did I understand correctly? You have 1B Studios? I didn't think there was such a thing.
The Studio version of the 1C was a black 1B-style cabinet instead of the "regular" SRS-style cabinet. Far as I know, they used black vinyl on the 1C Studio instead of the brown of the 1B.
I am not a wood-finisher; but I don't expect good results trying to paint vinyl.
