Allright, getting ready to clean out some more stuff. 1 mint Audio Alchemy DATB. I originally bought this so I could use the regular rca outputs from my dvd player directly to my tv, then used the tosslink from the dvd through the da converter into my avr. I only used this for a couple of months, but have upgraded my avr with a new one with both optical and coaxial inputs so no need for the dac. Comes with original box, manual, and ps one power supply. If you can use this I'll take $60 shipped to your door.
Main System
Pre - Homebrew 12au7 tube preamp
Amp - Eico HF-87 with EHEL34's
Source - Modded Toshiba 3950
Interconnects - DIY Belden
Speakers - Polk SDA-1C

Basement System
Pre - McIntosh C-28
Amp - McIntosh MC2100
Source - Modded Toshiba 3960
Tape - Pioneer RT-707
Turntable - Thorens TD150MKII with Denon DL-160
Speakers - Pioneer HPM-100

Sounds very interesting. Can you post a pic or a link of the DAC. What's the model#? Does it have coaxial in?

I'll take it, if organ doesn't.

Consider it sold, I've kicked myself ever since I sold mine to a fellow member.

    Cheers,

    Russ,
If I decide to get it, I'll eventually sell it to you when I get a tube DAC or if I can't hear a difference.

    Hi Organ,

The company that made these " Audio Alchemy" sadly is no longer in business. The model of this one is "DAC in the Box or DITB", I've seen them listed both ways. It does have both coaxial and optical inputs. Sorry, I don't have any actual pics as my digital camera died, but I can assure you, it's mint with no scratches or dings. I'll see if I can borrow a friends camera and get some pics.

Shoot... I was slow and missed this opportunity. I've wanted one for more than a year.

    Hbomb,

Wasn't the DIT the companion jitter reducer for the DITB or was it a converter?

The DTI (or Digital Transmission Interface) was AA's series of anti-jitter boxes. They made at least five models I know of:
    - DTI
    - DTI Plus
    - DTI V2.0
    - DTI Pro and
    - DTI Pro 32

The DITB was one of their DDE (Digital Decoding Engine) series.
    More later,
