Got a few questions on Rear CC speakers.
What are the advantages? Will it be that much of a upgrade? If room placement is a issue would placement on a shelf angled toward listening area work or just play around with my rear speakers? If room is small should i just NOT think about the upgrade? Its been a thought on my mind & i just gotta ask for thoughts. TIA

New recliners on order so i really havent tried any test yet. Should be delivered week or so couch is long & going bye bye. We are turning into Archie & Edith Bunker

Hey randy I like my rear center channel, but for me is mainly has to do with 1. a large room and 2. cheap in-ceiling surrounds which don't seem to disperse as well as traditional speakers. So for me it makes a BIG difference in the enveloping feel of the surround sound. because of the studs mine is about two feet behind the couch and a couple feet to the left of the center listening position.Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

I would try it to see how you like it...especially if you have no plans to upgrade your AVR. Not sure how 6.1 would compare to the newer lossless 7.1 formats and such.2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Mirage Omni S8 sub1 | Mirage Omni S8 Sub2

Thanks. I was thinking of raising it & angling it down towards setting area. When we get chairs i can try it out between/behind them & get idea. Then maybe make/buy a shelf with edge on it, so it doesnt slide off. Wife hates speakers right in her ears & is ok if there 2ft or more away. Then again she would be fine with a soundbar-OUCH ..

I have watched movies in DTS HD master 7.1 and they sound awesome! I am not sure if my avr is downmixing the center surrounds into one channel or if I am just losing one of the four surrounds (I am guessing the latter) but either way it sounds really good...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
