Banana plugs fit too loosely in B&W 684's 5 way binding posts...

I got a pair of B&W 684s over the weekend and the banana plugs I have (Sewell Deadbolt type) don't fit snugly enough into the binding posts on the speakers. Not only that, but the plug seems longer than the hole, so it kinda bottoms out in the post and its a really loose fit. If I jiggle the wire too much those plugs can pop out easily.

The same plugs fit perfectly on the receiver side - snug and don't come out easily unless you pull with intention.

So question is: Do B&W speakers need metric sized banana plugs or something? The speakers are brand new and the posts are not damaged. The plugs are new/unused as well. If the plugs were a little thicker and a bit shorter, they'd fit perfectly on the speaker posts. I don't want them popping out and shorting accidentally so I've screwed the wire directly for now but can't wait to get back to using plugs.

Thanks in advance!
The lunatic is in my head.

Check that there isn't a plastic plug cap jammed into the binding posts. If not, consider changing the binding posts.
