MHL Cable For Samsung Galaxy III

Just picked up a new Sony 32" display for the bedroom this past weekend, and noticed an MHL enabled HDMI on it so thought I'd pick up an adapter (I have the HDMI cable plus the charger needed to power an adapter). Seems the Galaxy III has gone to an 11 pin connector from the previous phone's 5. Already bought one that didn't work and had to take it back. They seem to be quite rare around these parts for whatever reason, and it appears I may have to buy from Samsung, but at nearly $50 I don't need my phone connected to my display THAT bad. Anyone have any luck purchasing one of these from a third party? Thanks...

I bought one from a seller on newegg, for the galaxy s3 as well. It was $12 bucks it worked great for about 30 minutes then it would cut in and out about every 5 seconds. So its junk.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Thanks Jeremy, that seems to be the concensus out there, 3rd party adapters aren't cutting it with the Galaxy III. I'll likely go without, it was more of a want than a need anyway.
