Roxul, Mineral Wool, or whatever its called. I need it in bulk, preferably sized to fit between studs 16" on center.

I have been dragging my feet too long on my basement....

Hey! When I built my acoustic panels, this was the cheapest place I could find OC703. I remember that they also carried Roxul, and other brands and types of insulation. Not sure if they only sell small amounts or if they sell in bulk. I'm not on my computer right now to check.

Most lumber yards have it. Or at least up here they do. I usually order it by the pallet for work.

Menards carries it, if you have one of their stores in the area. They also carry an insulation made of recycled denim that has gotten some good reviews for acoustic dampening.

Any home depot, lowes, etc. will have a regular roxul and safe'n'sound version. If you want to build your own sound absorbing panels from mineral insulation (i.e. OFI 48 - Owens Corning 703), then they have a list of stores/distributors on their site.
