After getting rejected from an E-Bay auction I went w/ Statement Audio to get the tt. It's a JVC-QL-A200 direct drive w/ semi auto action. This tt is way better than my older Denon DP-11 F which never shut off. Here you when you lift the arm the pivot action starts the motor and when it's at the end it does return and shut off. The cart is better than the Grado Black I just bought but Tom said he played his special records on it and the cart is way better than the standard Black model. Packing was superb he even added the travel bolts that most shippers do not even know about. It came clean and shined up w/ instructions on how to do the balancing. It works great,I couldn't be happier and now I'm playing my LPs that I bought after my Denon died and never heard before is a pleasure.

Thanks guys. After having a device for a while ,getting used to it how ever lame it was it worked. Now w/ this one it works and sounds better and I feel better because I don't have to look at the empty shelf anymore after tossing the Denon.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

I forgot to mention when I got the tt the a.c. cord and RCAs were long enough but there was no ground wire. This is the 1st tt that I have seen w/o a ground wire waiting to be screwed onto the chassi of the pre. Someone said the ground is in the outer part of the rca ring on the white side. I have no idea if that's right or not but it does work just fine. I think the cartridge is a Grado FT+1.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

Congrats on your new table! True, sometimes grounding is done through neg of RCA. A pic of that from a Thorens manual. Some old cartridges were supplied with a removable ground strap that connected the head shell to one channels ground lug on the cartridge.
