Just purchased an Onkyo TX-NR818 from a fellow member here and I'm looking for a way to streamline my "power-up" process.
I know the 818 has 12v trigger on Zone 2 and Zone 3 but I don't know if that can be re-purposed to turn on my Emo 3 channel amp that I use for my fronts. I also don't want my Martin Logans on all the time so I would want them to turn on along with my Emo.
So I guess I'm asking if there's a way to have the Emo and MLs power on when I turn on the 818? Or maybe there's a power strip out there somewhere that's remote controllable that can also send out a 12v trigger. Any help is appreciated.

Okay, I probably posted the question too quick as I've come up with a solution already. I'll get a "smart" power strip. With that, I can plug my 818 into the "control" outlet of the strip and plug the 2 ElectroMotion bricks into the "auto" outlets. These will automatically switch on when the 818 is powered on. For the Emo amp, I will buy a 12v 500mA brick and re-terminate the cord so it accepts a 1/8" mono plug which will then get plugged into the Emo. So when the automatic outlets switch on the 12v brick will power the Emo trigger, and then power off when the 818 is powered off.TV: 65" Samsung QLED 4K

I use a "green" power strip to bring up my subwoofer AMP and a small, quiet fan to cool my ONKYO when it's powered up. Works perfectly.Receiver: ONKYO TX-NR929 7.1 AVR 130wpc
