Well, it made into the Mancave Book. I was suppose to receive a free copy if my pics ended up in the book, but never got one. A buddy of mine sent me these pics out of the book:

I had forgotten all about the book thing until recently, then I remembered the author having me sign a "waiver" that would allow my pictures to be used (royalty free), if him and the co-author decided to include my cave in the book. Many people don't realize that the Mancave site http://www.mancavesite.org/ originated right here in good 'ol Sierra Vista, Az.

The 8-track player I mention in the article was given to me by George Grand. She's still MINT.

Something like this is really very simple and relatively inexpensive to do. I just epoxy coated the garage floor, tacked up some tacky paneling, and did a little painting. Then off to posters.com I went, and hit alot of garage sales. I think all said and done, I paid less than $700 on the whole project.

Rick, something was telling me you would especially dig the 70's mancave. I miss it, though my new mancave is massive!

Cool room! I was born in the early 70's and it reminds me of a friend's older brother's room. It needs a Farrah poster!

Right! I know---but do you know how much of those things cost now??? BIG MONEY. Farrah never authorized re-prints, so if you find one, KEEP IT.

Awesome Steve. The 8 track and CRT are nice touches. The Peace sign in the first pic looks like you might be pre-med and divying up a heart :)

We don't live at that house anymore, the 70's mancave was dismantled, sadly.

HOWEVER, the new mancave (aka the shop) will feature a southwest bar and a 'Hunting lodge" bunkhouse once her repairs are finished in March.

Politics aside, a peace sign is a "must have" in a 70's cave. Even if we didn't have a clue what the implications were...LOL

Yup, it's a period piece. And as such a decorative must. Nicely done Steve! All those colors are almost tripping me out, no drugs needed (and frankly I never did any back in the era anyway, because believe it or not, even that period wasn't as black and white as we all like to paint it these days-lots of different folks trying to find their way and process a lot of dissonance).

I remember the mancave thread from a couple of years ago. You did an exceptional job! I remember a lot of that '70's items that were typical of those times.

I"ll be very interested to see how your shop and Southwest bar looks when finished.
