When you can pry them from my cold, dead hands...............
Try E-Bay; I see 1000's on there occasionally. Try Audiogon too."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

Hey Doc, how are you running the 1000's these days? Bi or Di?
-
Actually bipole since they are doing double duty as SACD and DVD-A surrounds.
It's a bit more discrete than dipole, but then again, DVD's have gravitated over the years to discrete sound effects in all channels, so maybe it's actually better?
Boils down to personal preferences on movies, but for music, bipole all the way as dipole gives a hollow echo effect occasionally on music."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

Good luck finding them, they are rather hard to find and when you do find them you better have your "water cooled" credit card handy. However, for the price that hypeaudio is asking you could buy (4) FX 500's and stack 1 on top of the other and thus have a FX1000.It would probably sound the same.Happy Hunting!;)Old School stuff
