I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a headphone amp. I should be getting my HD 598's tomorrow I will mostly use them with my Oppo 105, or one of my Marantz' s so I should be covered there, just wondering what would e a good standalone amp so I can use my headphones on the computer or IPhone or IPod? Budget lets say $150-$250. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well the computer I would recommend the Audioquest Dragonfly v1.0 (AudioAdvisor for 99). For your iPhone or iPod I would suggest something cheaper like a JDSLabs CMoy.

Both pieces together should be around 150 give or take.

But I would suggest looking at 2 different pieces, one for your computer and one for your portable devices. Best way to approach it IMHO.

Yup that's basically it. You set it as the default audio device and away you go.
