Sennheiser 598 will I be satisfied with them?

I had a best buy 25 dollar reward zone certificate burning a hole in my pocket so I bought a pair of these from best buy.com. I never heard them so just going off what I've been reading over at headfi, plus someone on here just bought a pair, can't remember who it was. I am hoping they will see this thread and give me their review. I will be listening to these through my Oppo 105D I just got.

I was debating on these or the 558's for the past couple of days. I first ordered the 558's thinking they would be ok then after a couple more reviews that I read, canceled the order and ordered the 598's instead. I hope I made the right decision thoughts anyone?

    I have the 598's also along with the Grado RS2 and I liked them both alot. I switch between the 2 depending on what I'm playing I like the SENN's better some times but prefer the grado's most of the time but there were like $500. but until I heard the grado's I like them over my AKG's 172 anf HiFimans HE-400's.

    I think you will like them a lot :)

    Thanks for your reply I know these are considered entry level audiophile headphones but I did demo some Momentums a while back and like how they sounded, if these sound as good as those, I think I will be happy with the 598's.

    Yep DSkip it was your thread a while back that got me interested in them. I own several pair of in ear buds for the phone and IPods. I just wanted a decent pair of headphones, to lean back in the recliner and listening to tunes without turning on the stereo. I am already looking for a headphone stand for them any you can suggest? Jeez I hope I didn't start another obsession.

    I have some "BrainWavs" headphone stands I got for $19 at amazon , their clear quartz stands. also look up WOO headphones amps and check out their headphone stands...they look good but run about $60-$70!
