My lucky day- a pair of SDA-2B Studios (pin/blade) for $36- I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them. Did not come with the AI-1 cable but I have one from my CRS+ set. Will hook them up in a day or two and hopefully there will be no issues. I recently picked up an Adcom 5802 amp which is not hooked up yet but will be installed in my setup in a day or two. I know this is a non-common ground amp but if I use the stock AI-1 interface, is that ok. Or do I still need to strap the amps negative terminals together or should I do both?

Use the AI-1 only, do not strap the negatives.

Yes that's a great price and they are in nice shape. Does that beat my $50 for 87 2bs w/ the i/c cable ? This is close I have always liked the full version over the studio because of the vinyl but the risers look black and kinda match. Still all things considered that's a give away price and your luckey to find them, great score...
You know now looking back on how many people had their sides torn apart by cats maybe vinyl is the way to go.lol lol

Nice score! Way to be in the right place at the right time.

Two things come to mind though....is one black and one walnut?

Also, could be the flash, but the speaker on the left looks like it may have the MW6503 in both locations. This is the stereo driver and the cone generally has a slight sheen to it, the dimensional driver (MW6511) is generally a flat black in appearance. Looks like both cones have that sheen.

Only way is to pull the dimensional and check. Either way, you are WAY ahead of the game at $36!
