Absolutely Rick, The Waltons were a staple in our home, every Thursday night. Literally a part of our lives. What a loss. My grandchildren borrowed my Waltons DVD set, and they love the Waltons as well.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

I guess it's appropriate to say " Good night John Boy". Couldn't do this show today....those values no longer exist to many.HT SYSTEM-

Rick, you mean you're not a fan of Modern Family? Fer cri yi. I agree, television could use more shows like the Waltons. RIP.

There's a saying out there that death to celebrities comes in threes. This week Shirley Temple Black, Sid Ceasar and now Ralph Waite. Personally I never liked the Waltons, way to hokey for me but he was a great character actor and did many tv series and movie rolls. The little girl who hepled bring out the best in the depression, the greatest sketch comic who hired the best writers of the time like Woody Allen,Mel Brooks,Carl Riner and like I said before a terrific character actor in Ralph Waite.
