Polk 5000 Sound Bar Opinions

I have a 42" Panasonic plasma, older Sony BX1 BD player and a Wii system in my smallish living room that sees little use. I have a chance to pick up a Polk 5000 sound bar from a certified local dealer here in town for $298 CDN. My thinking is I may use the BD player more with the sound bar connected and perhaps hook my iPod/phone to it on occasions, plus when my grandkids come over they like to use the Wii so it may add a little punch for that as well. It seems the price isn't too bad and I don't have much more width on the stand for the next one up (6000). Anyone have one of these that would like to share their thoughts?
