would a 420 x 1 @ 2ohms amp work or would that be to little power?
-
too small
800 x1@2ohms
or 400x2@2 ohms

2124's --- smells to me like an mtx 801D also available at crutchfield.com....
.... and the gods all said "forever cody and vince will be locked in battle over mtx versus fosgate... andthey will never get mad hunnies because they'll be too busy fighting over it".

how about 600x1@2ohms, sorry to keep asking, i'm a little low on cash flow, the mtx and fosgate a little too much for me right now.

Is this closer to your price range?

Hifonics Cyclops-XI 700W x 1 @ 2 ohms
$399.00 isn't too bad of a price either. That will defintly power two 2124's..Expert Moron Extraordinaire

what is your price range?
we can give you direct links to the amp you might want
-Cody -
my price range is some where around $300. would a 600 watt work?
-
Hifonics 700 watt-$280
MTX 800 watt amp-$309 Rockford Fosgate 800 watt amp-$339
in order of what i would get(but not considering price)
Rockford Fosgate
hifonics
mtx
and to answer your question, a 600 amp will work, but not as good
i would get the hifonics if you dont get the RF
hifonics is a great brand and very cheap
-Cody -
600 will work, but again "not as good"
you can always go and get yoruself a JBL BP600.1 -- that thing will do like 6 or 650 and costs like 170 ebay. The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge -

Eh, they aren't cheap. That is just a really good price. Retail for that amp is usually between 600-800 bucks and probably worth every penny.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

try ikesound.com they have the jbl 600.1 amp. i had that amp pushing 2 12" mtx 6000s the amp rocked. i want to get it to push my polk 10mm but it would only put out 300 at 4 ohm. the jbl 1200.1 is around 250 or so new on ebay. can get the 600.1 for 120 used or like 170 new on ebay. jbl is cheap price wise but its worth every penny and then some. you wont be disappointed.looking for a good amp and maybe some subs!

I have a c500.1 currently and keep hearing about paring 2x MM2124's up with this 801d... currently cc has 801d's for $320. Would I gain anything from switching? I love my C500.1 and 2x MM2124's don't get me wrong but If i can hear a considerable I might consider switching.
Thanks

well, the 801D puts out 300 more watts than the 500.1
the 500.1 is a cleaner amp though
but for subs, its not that big of a deal
but for mm124s, id get a rockford fosgate bd1000
youre putting half the amount of power to those subs that they can handle
-Cody -
1001bd? not a fosgate fan really  anything else that would do the job? i wont switch till i get a different car which will be a few months.cats.vans.bag...
