Bjork - Vespertine
That disc really shows off her incredible vocal skills.
Linkin Park - Reanimation
I usually don't dig LP, but this disc will but a hurting on your system, and it was recorded from the ground up for DVD-A, so it sounds fantastic!LSi 9/C/FX

I also like the Reanimation disc by Linkin Park, as well as Steely Dan's Everything Must Go.

If you want something a little bit harder, the Staind 14 Shades of Grey disc is really good.Proud SOPA Member since 2005!

Linkin Park - Reanimation: 10/10 Awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I liked and would recommend the Eagles CD also.

Thank you all. I'm not that familiar with L.P. other than a couple of songs off the radio -- I'll have to try that. I love FM's Rumours, and the wife would probably accept listening to the Eagles, too.
Thanks again...My little system:

The LP disc is more hip-hop oriented than the stuff you usually hear from the on the radio, just so you know.

Good - I like a variety of styles. I even listened to Justin Timberlake all the way through.
Has anyone bought a classical dvd-a? I'm wondering if the dvd-a might sound like I'm playing in the ensemble rather than listening from the audience. My little system:

I only have a few DVDaudio discs, but one that I think sounds great and is cool groovy-funky music is Medeski, Martin and Wood's "Uninvisible." It is mostly instrumental....keyboards drums and bass. It is also DTSES (although I don't have a rear center so I just play it DVDAudio. Not a huge use of the surrounds, but it is still a great sounding disc. I think I paid $15 at BB.system 1:

My favorite has to be Fleetwood Mac Rumours, the third song- Never Going Back Again. I can listen to that song for hours. Another I like is the 3rd track on Emerson Lake, And Palmer (BRain Salad Surgery)- Still... You Turn Me on. Has a really cool bass line that I like. The Bjork Disc (which I happen to be listening to as we speak) is really good as well.Pioneer Elite VSX-21TXH

I currently have two DVD-A's, both of which I really enjoy:
Deep Purple - Concerto For Group and Orchestra with the Royal Philharmonic
The first 3 tracks sounds like a sound track for a bad 60's movie, but the Deep Purple music is fantastic!
The Band - The Last Waltz - Most everyone I'm sure is familiar with this. The DVD-A is a good mix, makes you feel like your in the audience for the concert.
I also have Led Zepplin, and Silverline "London Symphony in Berlin" DVD's, but these are not DVD-A. They are in 5 and six channel respectively. I prefer Zep in DTS, as the DD track has too much bass, not natural bass, but the boomy stuff you hear in movies, the DTS bass is much tighter and more realisitc. However, for the classical DVD, the DD is much more listenable, but I still perfer the DTS version.AVR - HK520

Fleetwood Mac - Say you will DVD-a sounds great
Sheryl Crow - The Globe Sessions
Crowded HousePolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert  -
Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Jazz Band "Swinging For The Fences" should go on the must have jazz list. His 2nd DVD-A is equally good, but a little different.

I read in the new AudioRevolution's newsletter that all the music companies (including Sony) are experimenting with DVD-A/CD hybrid discs. One side is the CD side, the other is the multichannel DVD-Audio side. I guess they are test marketing in Seattle and Boston right now. Anybody that lives in those cities see one around?
