i bought a DSW microPro 1000 SW (8 inch, 1200W) and i think is really nice but i doubt if change it to DSW Pro 660 wi (12 inch, 400W). i have two days to decide it.

With music i think it´s not necessary with my LSi9 speakers but with movies I raise the volume much to feel and fill the room. My room is 18x14 size.

any opinion or experience?
thanks in advanced

edit: the DSW PRO 660 wi it costs about $80 more than DSW microPRO 1000.

    Welcome to Club Polk,

What a coincidence, I am in the same boat as you, looking at exactly the same 2 sub-woofers with the same room size lol.
I'll be keeping a watch on this thread.

Obviously the best idea is to try out both and then decide. If that is not possible, and you are not using the sub for music, then I think the DSW is clearly the better choice on paper. Bigger woofer, ported, its going to be deeper, louder, and hit harder for movies. The difference is the bass will probably not be as tight as the micropro and might not integrate quite as well. But this is all academic as I have never heard them. So like I said, get them both and eat the refund fee, the assurance you have in the end will be worth the small price.

Finally i returned the DSWmicroPRO 1000 SW (8´´) (I had greatly increase the volume of the SW to "feel" it and fill about 75% the room) but i think it´s great. Now I'm thinking to buy a DSWPRO660wi (12´´)

I have LSi9/LSi7 speakers and my room is 18x14 size. I will use the SW for music (30%) and movies (70%) of time.

what about DSW 660pro wi? any experience with it or any alternative?

    thanks in advanced
