Hey all. I'm thinking of using my Polk tsi100s in place of the speakers that came with my Sony cmt sbt100 micro component system. My question is will this system (25 watts per channel) have enough juice to power them? Will the Polks be efficient enough? Any thoughts?
My Setup: Denon AVR X3600h, Polk Signature S50 Fronts w/ S30 Center and S15 Rears, LG UBK90 4K Player, TCL 6-Series 65”4k TV

Well, the Polks are very if not extremely power efficient! They actually play louder than the supplied speakers! On a side note, the reason I'm using the Polks for my shelf system because I've reverted back to a 3.1 setup for my HT ( my other half had a big part in that). So, I decided to use my rears as mains for my shelf system. If anybody thinks they can't drive Polks with a low-powered unit, you can...very well:-). Way to go Polk!!

25 watts at what OHMS? Those mini systems have some unusual impedances so that 25 watts could be as little as 5-10 watts @ 8 ohms which is what the Polk speakers are rated at? And at 5-10 wats x 2 it would be VERY easy to clip the amp on the Polks!

The amp is at 6 ohms. Yeah I thought about the amp clipping, which is why I tried it out as a Lil experiment first. As stated in the previous post, it sounded awesome:-). Its louder with the Polks than with the supplied speakers.

    Hahahaha that's funny boston1450 ;-)
