Quick question (hopefully). Looking at the above Oppo and want to verify something. Can I run my cable (video only) through the Oppo (HDMI In) and, if so, will it improve the picture through the Darbee edition? Thanks.

There are several, adjustments that you can make to the video signal in the Darbee edition. Check out the Oppo website for all the information. You can even download the users manual before you buy so you get a better idea of what you can do, that's what I did before I bought the 105D.

Thanks Zane - I have researched quite a bit and see some good and bad regarding the Darbee edition. However, I have not seen anything posted about running external video (like cable) through it and any improvement in picture quality.

Give Oppo's Customer service a call and ask away, great CS people, I asked a ton of questions before my purchase and they answered them all, and told me to call back should I need to.

I thought that was supposed to be one more reason to buy that model, that it ran ALL video through its processor.... that would be a bit funky if it didnt.

Yes, you can absolutely run your cable box signal through it for video processing.

Thanks for the replies. Has anyone experienced a noticable difference running cable TV (or dish, or PS3, etc.) through the Darbee processor? Most reviews online talk about the difference in the blu-ray pic but don't see a mention of anything else. Hope that makes more sense.

That Darbee is amazing for the price. Anything you throw at it will have a noticeable difference.
