This link is mainly just so you see what it looks like. I'll be happy to send pics to anyone interested.

Mine is about a 6-7/10. Some scuff marks, but nothing too serious.

Great sounding unit. Only reason I'm not using it is that I needed HDMI because my family could never seem to figure out how to change both the audio and video to get a movie to play. If you can do without HDMI it's a sweet little piece.

$350 to your door CONUS

Remote and owners manual included.

Worth this price as a decent little stereo pre.

Hey, man. I picked up a pair of Atrium 5's and an Atrian Sub 10 during the friends & family sale last year.

I've not previously worked with anything other than 2 channel.

Would your unit power these solo, or would I need another piece of gear?

Do you include the remote and/or power cord?

    Is it black?

Three yes answers and I'm a bit interested. :)

    Thanks!

This is a preamp; it will not power anything. You would need a separate amp to power those speakers.

Thanks. I was a bit confused at first because an eBay ad has it listed as an "amplifier."

Not to hijack the thread, but any suggestions on a simple and relatively inexpensive way to get this outdoor system up and running?

    1) rooftop beat me to the answer
    2) remote, power cord, AND manual included
    3) Nope, silver face

Are you planning to keep the unit outside? If so, I'd just look for an AVR on the cheap. They hold their prices so poorly that you can either get a lower level one for a sic pack or get a really good for very cheap.

You could pick this up from me and get something like and Adcom 535 or and even lesser amp.

Kind of depends on how good you want the sound outdoors.

Personally, I have a Rotel pre- in my livign room with Zone 2 capability. Running zone 2 with a cheap little amp that a I think I got from rooftop oddly enough. Not great, but it gives me tunes on the patio and by the pool.

If you wanted my pre-, I might just throw in my amp for the cost of shipping.

    hmmmmm... velly intevesting... velly intevesting...

I'd not even considered keeping the unit outdoors. What would you do, move it in and out depending on the weather? Or just cover it up like a BBQ grill?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by "Zone 2."

    Also, what's that amp?

I think its a Sonance 260. Decent inexpensive sounding amp designed for multi-room expansion.

If you have an AVR made this century that isn't absolute entry level, it will have outputs for either "multi-room" or "zone 2." This allows you to play a course connected to the avr on speakers in another room, usually a different source than what it being used in the main zone. For instance, kids can watch the Little Einsteins from the DVR and mom and dad can sit in the back yard and drink beer with some nice tunes streaming from the Squeezebox (yes we are those parents). Both sources are connected to the same avr. Now you can usually power the speakers directly from said avr, or you can use zone 2 preouts to connect to a separate amp like the Sonance 260 which powers the Atriums. Hope that helps...

Now someone buy this sweet preamp! I would be very tempted except I have the same problem in my house...

Grab an old receiver with speaker A-B switching. Preferably with A/B AND A+B, so you can run all at once if you want. 50-100 bucks off craigslist should yield something nice in the vintage arena.

Ah... I think my luxman does that. How do I wire the sub into that? I thought I needed an x.1 receiver or amp. (I started another thread on this topic, tony, so maybe we should jump over there so as not to derail this one...)
