I am thinking about getting the 4Shot for my xbox one, The one thing that I am worried about is being able to hear my own voice in my headphones.
I only worry, because the Turtle Beaches tout this pretty heavily.. and there in no mention of it at all on Polk's site.
Thanks!

Hello,
I'll check with Polk's engineer for this.

Thanks!

Here's the response:
"I believe this is referring to TBs mic monitor function which mixes some of the mic signal back into the game sound. This feature is not available on the 4Shot, but may not be on any passive X-Box One headset, TB included. Normally this function is limited to active, X-Box 360 headsets."

Thanks for getting the response. I'm not sure what the mean with active vs passive. I suppose it means powered vs non powered. I wonder if the XO seven needs batteries then... Because it has it, but doesn't seem to need to plug into anything but the controller.. Hmm.. Looks like I will have to choose between looks and audio quality, and being able to hear my own mic :-/
