New to me Marantz PM-52U Integrated Amp. Any Thoughts ??

I picked this up today at a record shop. Why ?? Just because.
I can't find info much on it. I did see that it's 80 WPC into 8 ohms.
So if anyone knows what year(s) it was produced that would be nice.
Also any thoughts on value. Yes I know it's worth what someone is
willing to pay for it. But if you were interested what would you be willing
to pay for it ??
BTW: My main reason for snagging it was it had a MM/MC phono stage.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

P-man, looks nice!!
I am not familiar with that model, so I can't be of any help. I see what you mean, there's not much info out there on the internet on it. By the looks of it, I'd wager it's from the late 80's/early 90's??
Have you hooked it up and gave it a listen yet?
Not yet Rick but I'm gonna give her a test drive shortly.

I wonder what differences the "U" designation has over the "regular" PM52? I googled just "PM52" and found pics (with internals), and at least on the outside it looks the same. I also see there is a "PM52SE". The regular model has an EI core tranny, where the SE has a toroidal. If you can see it, what does yours have?
Not really sure ?? I'll goggle it without the U.

I wonder if maybe it's the same as the regular model, but was part of a rack system, and that's why they gave it the "U" (and why there's hardly any info out there on it)?
Could be Rick,
They had a matching cassette deck, but I passed on that.

I've never seen this model - but it looks like it should be more than competent.

Thanks so much for your input Rick. At least it says ''Made In Japan'' and not China.

I never seen a Marantz integrated, I to would guess late 80's early 90's due to the MM/MC phono stage. I did not know that Marantz made rack systems, and never saw a rack system with an integrated instead of a reciever before, nice find.Home Theater

(actually there were even Marantz-branded all-in-one compact hifis - wouldn't necessarily recommend collecting them, though) -

I have owned a 1060 and still own a 1040 integrated amp but I've never owned anything from the 90's until now.
