10 guage or 12 guage wire

I can get my hands on some oxygen free copper 10 ga wire or belkin 12 ga wire for around the same price. i would need to add my own bananas but what do ya'll think. 10 or 12. i'm hooking up csi 30, fx1 30, and rti 150's

    I think that most everyone else will agree, go with the larger gauge wire ( the 10 gauge ). The more room the better.

    I'd have to disagree. 12ga is fine for the mains, but 14ga is all you need for the surrounds.

    I'd say the same. 12-ga is more than plenty. If you bi-wire the 150's it effectively doubles the wire gauge, also. I use 12-ga for the 150's low end and center channel (CSi30) and then 14-ga for the 150's high end and all the small surround speakers.

    I've used 12 AWG, and I've used 16 AWG, 15 AWG. Heres one thing to consider, the better quality the wire, even if it is smaller --- will suffice over cheap higher awg wire.

    15 AWG IXOS way outperforms 12 AWG HD.......
