4 Shot adapter vs Microsoft Adapter

I was wondering if the adapter included in with the 4 shot were a Polk specific adapter or if it was the general adapter that Microsoft will be releasing? I ask this, because to my understanding, the headset were delayed due the adapters being delayed.
In the video at CES, the Polk adapter looks different than the Microsoft adapter on Newegg's Website.
