Does anyone know where I can find a good quality copy of the song "Horse to the Water" performed by Sam Brown at the Concert for George ? The CD set that I own does not contain this song. It is available from Itunes but is an MP3. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the offer but I have the Blu Ray as well (a great show). I was hoping someone knew of a UK version of the CD or something along those lines. It seems strange that it is available for download but not on the CD, at least my copy anyway.

Your request is interesting one. When you say good quality are you talking about lossless audio like FLAC? Also, is 320k MP3 bitrate not high enough quality? I can't find that Sam Brown ever sang that song other than the Concert for George (correct me if I'm wrong). The reason I asked the last question is... can you tell the difference between mp3 and lossless if the recording is live? Sorry for the many questions... I'm just trying to learn from someone who might be able to explain these details. I own the bluray as well and enjoyed the concert very much. ThanksPolk Monitor 10

This the same show w/ Clapton, Jeff Lynn, Tom Petty, Gary Brooker(Procal Harum),the late Billy Preston,Albert Lee,Mcartney, his son and a bunch more players? Who is Sam Brown, for the life of me I have no idea who this person is. If it's the same show I saw it on PBS. I wouldn't mind getting a blu/ray of that and the Benifit for Bangladesh.
Now I'll have to google this person but I really have no idea.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

So it's Samantha Brown both a solo and backup singer w/ both parents being singers. According to wiki the song your interested in is only on the film and not on cd. I really do not remember her performance but then again my memory is going.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

heh, y'know... we used to use something like this to "pull that from BluRay"... heck, you still could if you have access to the sound via line-level analog outputs someplace...

Yes I was looking for a lossless copy. The song was originally performed by George Harrison on a Jools Holland CD which I currently have on order. I believe that Sam Brown and Jools Holland are married hence the connection. Sam Brown is also the daughter of Joe Brown who performed "Here Comes the Sun", "That's the Way it Goes" and "I'll see you in my Dreams" at the Concert for George. -

I have discussed the possibility of doing this with a friend who is a recording engineer, so I believe I have found what I was looking for. Cheers. -
It is available on what.cd. I could get it for you however the tracker is currently down. Blu-ray flac lossless 24kbit.
The tracker has been off an on. I will try to get when the tracker is up.I got static in my head

Doc Hardy, look at this stuff. I must say your reciever racks are cool but these stand alones are very nice. To think I dumped all my cassets years ago. That rack mount Pioneer is beautiful.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

It's a nice deck (Pioneer CTF-1000); well built and good sounding - I was actually recording some streaming audio when I took that photo, quite a few years back :-)
As of now, it needs some rehab; I have a parts donor for it, too ;-)
