Hello,
I am currently purchasing a new home theater system and this is my first time doing this. So far i purchased the monitor 70 series II for the front speakers and the Csia6 for the center channel along with a pioneer sc-1323-k receiver. For the surrounds i was looking into the monitor 45B or the rtia3. Does this matter if i mix and match the series? I already have the monitor 70's for the front so if i get the rtia3's for the rears would the sound be off at all? Any help is appreciated. thanks

The front 3 are most important to timbre match, surrounds not as much. Preferable, especially for multi channel music but for HT most would agree that you'll be fine. Welcome to Club Polk BTW... -
If you're going to stick with the M70's for your fronts, you may want to get a CS2 center channel. If you want to stick with the CSia6 for the center, you may want to get the RTiA7 or A9's for your fronts.2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A

My Fronts and Center are Totem speakers and my rears are Polk in-ceilings. I rarely if ever notice a different during normal tv/movie viewing. Like others said, matching the front three is much more important.Display: LG 47" LCD | AVR: Marantz SR5005 | BD: Panasonic BDT-210 | CD/SACD: Oppo 980 |

Welcome, and like most say just match the fronts, the surrounds don't matter as much, however i mix match the surrounds in the past with the rtia series fronts and jbl surrounds; when i got the fxias to match; i tought there was more seamless transition in sound specially for movies.
