Polk Audio Atrium 4 outdoor speakers.
I just purchased a set of Polk Audio Atrium 4 Speakers and wasn't sure about mounting location. Can these speakers be mounted out in the open? Direct rain or snow?
Thanks
Thanks

Yep, completely water/weather proof. Saw a video once where they were frozen in a bucket of water (can't recall where). They thawed them out and they played fine. Enjoy!! -
Depending on your climate I may take them inside during the winter just to keep them nice for longer but as Ken said they're amazingly weatherproof. Sound pretty darn good too!Display: LG 47" LCD | AVR: Marantz SR5005 | BD: Panasonic BDT-210 | CD/SACD: Oppo 980 |

Yes, they CAN be mounted out in the open, but does that mean they SHOULD be? Like just about anything, they will give you better overall long-term performance if they are mounted out of, or at least somewhat out of, the elements (eg. like under the eaves of the roof).
I have a pair of the Atrium 4s also and they are very durable, great-performing speakers. We've received many compliments on how good they sound and really have no complaints about them. -
Has anyone here installed an outdoor subwoofer?

Also, to the OP, what amp are you using with your Polk Atriums?
