Polk Audio Atrium 4 outdoor speakers.

I just purchased a set of Polk Audio Atrium 4 Speakers and wasn't sure about mounting location. Can these speakers be mounted out in the open? Direct rain or snow?

Yep, completely water/weather proof. Saw a video once where they were frozen in a bucket of water (can't recall where). They thawed them out and they played fine. Enjoy!!

Depending on your climate I may take them inside during the winter just to keep them nice for longer but as Ken said they're amazingly weatherproof. Sound pretty darn good too!

Yes, they CAN be mounted out in the open, but does that mean they SHOULD be? Like just about anything, they will give you better overall long-term performance if they are mounted out of, or at least somewhat out of, the elements (eg. like under the eaves of the roof).

I have a pair of the Atrium 4s also and they are very durable, great-performing speakers. We've received many compliments on how good they sound and really have no complaints about them.
