When I was in college I lived in an "Animal House" with 17 dudes. Our unoffical fraternity was "Phi Tappa Kegga" and we had a party every freakin' night. We had an old refrigerator with a hole drilled in the door and did the job quite well. The Beverage Air is just a more refined version of that setup.
I do like the Heiny but change out a lot. I have different adapters for most of the European and American keg styles and a collection of tap handles. My favorites are the Dutch beers like Grolsch, Amstel & Heineken but I also like the German and other Europeans too as well as the Mexican beers. I do American beers from time to time too.
What's really great about having a kegerator is when you come inside from mowing the lawn on a sweaty 90 degree day and pour a nice tall cold one from the kegerator! Ahhh! Nothing better!

There are adjustable temperature controls on this little unit just like the adjustable temperature controls you find on the larger wine cooling units. This feature lets you store white wines, or red wines, at the perfect temp for their consumption. The maintenance of a constant internal temp is helped by the double panes of glass used to create the door on this little refrigerated box. A single pane of glass can allow the cool air to escape, or the warmer air outside of the box to enter, but when the manufacturer placed two panes of glass together they created a pocket of air between the panes of glass. That pocket of air works as an insulator to help hold the cold air inside the refrigerated cabinet, and to keep the warmer air outside of the unit from entering.

You can have the perfect wine cooler even if you only have a small amount of space for a unit. This particular built-in wine refrigerator holds eighteen bottles of wine, and is only twelve inches wide.
The temperature controls on this device allow you to easily set the temperature so that your bottled beverages are kept as cold, or warm, as you like them. The internal temperature of this machine is perfectly maintained because of the advanced technology used in the creation of the unit compressor.
According to popular opinion, you want a built in wine refrigerator that vibrates as little as possible. When the appliances vibrate they allow the sediment in the wine bottle to be stirred up, and that is not good for the wine. This line of refrigeration appliances has a very low noise level, and the vibration created by the motor, and compressor, of the unit is very low. You will not have to be concerned about sediment in your bottles being disturbed. You will also not have to worry that the appliance makes while running will disturb you, even if you live in a small apartment.

I'll double down on your bet, Craig. Post seems a little too polished. And it's not even a kegerator.

Yes and without cleaning the lines between keg changes it's terrible tasting beer. Another advantage of a kegerator is the very short line between the keg and the tap. Much different than what you get in the local tavern where beer lines are usually many feet long. I'll have bottled beer in these situations everytime.
I've never had anyone in the past 13 years complain but I have had many compliments so yes I do believe it must be "great tasting beer" -

Different strokes and different beer tastes for sure. A couple of my buds like that Guiness type dark beer. I won't comment either on what it tastes like to me. -

Guiness is special. You use a mixture of nitrogen & CO2 to pressurize it.
Each beer has a recommended temperature and gas pressure to give it the right amount of carbonation and taste exactly as the manufacturer intended it. -
Here is a good thermostat for the conversion: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10A-110V-Digital-Temperature-Controller-Thermostat-50-90-w-Sensor-Control-YH/252439898972?_trksid=p2045573.c100034.m2102&_trkparms=aid=555012&algo=PW.MBE&ao=2&asc=20131003150253&meid=81e849c9ab8e4bb2b936742823e4fd60&pid=100034&rk=1&rkt=8&sd=301765554601

Have you brewed - (fermented) beer in a small refrigerator?
you know how "LAGER" like a lower steadier temperature then Ales, but I know their are device you plug a fridge in to get a better held/steadier temp then the fridge can do on its own. is the above something like that?2 ch- Polk CRS+ * Vincent SA-31MK Preamp * Vincent Sp-331 Amp * Marantz SA8005 SACD * Project Xperience Classic TT * Sumiko Blue Point #2 MC cartridge

I just finished converting a fridge. I had been waiting on getting an extra fridge and a friend just gave me one. What I did was I removed the thermostat on the fridge and installed one similar to the STC-1000 in its place. Wiring was easy, the hardest part of the operation was to mount the controller outside of the (stainless steel) fridge.
The first picture is the old thermostat. The two wires are connected to a relay that will switch the compressor on/off based on temperature. With the controller I have it now setup to turn on when temp hits 19.5C and to turn it off once it falls to 18.5C. This would of course then be the setting you do based on the fermentation need.
Next phase will be a bit more complicated since I want to use the freezer side as well. Most likely will punch holes in the middle wall to put in 12V fans and then use Arduino with a relay and couple of extra temperature sensors to control the freezer temperature.

Putting a computer in your refrigerator to control your beer.......that's when you know you've either got a problem, or that you have officially "Made it!"
>>>Jealous<<<Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!! -
sounds great Sami!
their is a heating pad the people have been using inside a fridge to help control temp also. I think when it gets to cold the heat pad kicks in.

It's a dual action thermostat and many have added heating element to theirs. I don't currently need one as the temps don't get that low here in Florida this time of the year. A tube heater or a light bulb or two at the bottom would be an easy enough install.

As a wine drinker and collector Kalamera Wine Cooler is the best fit for me. I found lot of verified customer’s from amazon agree with me.
If you are a frequent wine drinker chances are you already have a wine cooler, but maybe you need another to be able to add to your collection. If you are someone just getting into collecting wine, you will be needing one.
Some people utilize the use of a wine cellar, but for most of that a wine cellar is not an option. That is ok though because with the choice of wine coolers on the market, you will surely find something that fits your needs. One of the best coolers you should be buying into for your wine stock is a Kalamera wine cooler.

You can put dual taps on mine if you use the slim kegs to be able to fit two of them in.
