I thought this was funny. This tube DAC has a knob where you can adjust for 'tubeyness'.

Not unlike PAIA's "tubehead" - my guess is they reduce the plate voltage on the output stage to increase the distortion.

On the other hand: Unfortunately, it's just this kind of stuff that leads folks to believe "tubes sound good because of the good-sounding distortion that they produce" :-(
I liked this statement even better than the "tubyness" knob:Perhaps a pair of U7's u]sic[/u will last a lifetime in this circuit - time will tell.
