I am taking full and complete responsibility for these... I have a mint set of un-modded 3.1TL's that are owned be a co-worker for sale. Pick to follow and local pickup to the Los Angeles area are desired. He is asking 800.00 for the pair, complete with extra drivers... Pics to follow in a day or so.

the 3.1's always seemed a little strange to me. one tweeter for all those mid-bass drivers?, is one really enough?

Don't know, but I'd like to find out some time!

It's been a while since I hooked my 3.1TL's up to my main system, but from my listening memory the imaging (due to the single tweeter I believe) was always a little more "pinpoint" than my 2.3TL's. I would have to listen to them again to verify that for sure though.

Other than that, the 2.3TL's toast the 3.1TL's.

    I love my 3.1tl's.
Even though I run the 2.3tl's most of the time I hook em up a couple times a year for a month or so and enjoy the hell out of their sound.
I need to finish the 1C's rings to see how they stack up but I think they'll be for sale soon.

I enjoy my 3.1's every day, Greg is spot on with the imaging, vocals are so pronounced and clean. With only one SDA driver they are a little limited on soundstage width, but other than that, I like their presentation very much.

They trump my modded 1C's in about every aspect, I have a pair of 2.3TL's i'm working on that I'm sure will show the 3.1's the door, but they're not leaving any time soon.

A mint pair for $800. sounds reasonable to me.

Wow. It's like putting something up for sale was an invite for folks to point out every perceived flaw of the item for sale. I'm sure these SDA's sound great. Just because there is a higher end SDA that costs more/performs better does not mean that one below it isn't good at a price point, it's all a matter of perspective.

Good luck with the sale John.

I am sure they sound good, and honestly would love to own a set just because they are like the white rhino of SDA's.

Be glad to help you post pic's whenever.

To everyone else, this is a sale thread. Lets try to keep it on topic and not point out every comparison. Someone that buys these (from here) will have done their due diligence regarding comparisons and equipment needed, etc.

Sorry for the confusion. I was asking why it takes listening to know the ones with more tweets will have better sound.

    Hey guys,

This is the 3.1TL crossover. Does anyone know what part that is that is burned or where to get one?

    Thanks!
