So far so good from OTA High Def.

I lost my manual so if anyone knows from the Zenith SAT520 what the difference between Hybrid 1080 vrs 1080 i'd be interested to know. Next thing ya know the Doc will be diagnosing sat issues....;)

anybody noticed the audio on HD broadcast is choppy, especially during half-time show?

nice touch at the end of the show....
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

i'm up for an HDTV forum.. lets get it going if we could.. just makes perfect sense.

I too heard choppy audio during the halftime show.

at the end when Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake were doing that naughty duet.. at the very end did Justin accidently undo Janets leather top, and expose a booby? looked like it to me

Watched the game at my friend Doug's (a forum member) house. He has a 50" plasma TV. Got the game in HD.

    WOW!

At times it was so sharp that it appeared to be 3D.

Damn, missed the Janet booby though. Thats ok, I see plenty at my part time job, ;)

I'm proud to say I didn't see one minute of the Super Bowl today. Haven't seen a play/replay, halftime show, or any of those lil gems of commercials.

Even after missing all that excitement , I had a great day.

I don't usually watch Superbowls either. but this year i got an HDTV. how could you NOT watch some of it in HDTV?

I switched back and forth between analog and digital signals.. wow.. HDTV blows the snot out of analog hands down.

I was able to read the time on a guys watch.. that's how awesomely clear and sharp it was.

Why can't more programs be broadcast in HDTV?

Well the game turned out to be one of the better ones...

Janice gave us a little Justin assisited "flash"...

Biggest disappointment was the commercials. One of the worst crops yet with only a couple decent laughs in the lot.
    More later,

I noticed the audio issue, but it went away. I thought the HDTV was pretty neat, it really does have alot of depth.

I agree they didn't seem to be as innovative as in the past. However, the ones in HD were great. I really liked the Chevy commercial and the movie trailers were awesome. I thought the Van Helsing preview was simply amazing and made me want to go see it right now.

Are you OTA or Time Warner? On Time Warner the video was pretty solid.

I was watching the OTA. I should have popped over to my D* channel to compare but was to busy drinken my beer;)

I think it probably was a local transmit issue...

I flipped back and forth between OTA HD and DTV HD during the broadcast (half-time show) and confirmed the audio choppyness existed in both places. So, it has to be CBS HD transmission issues...

As a side note, I read that Justin was angered because of the situation as well, claiming that before the duet he was made to drink 'Janet Juice'.......;)
