High End Audio in San Diego

Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes.

I have been out of the market for years, family, work, etc. but now with the kids grown I am looking to get back into my vintage stuff especially my polks srs 1.2's.

Stopped by the usual stores Best Buy and Fry's. Sorry but sales is a joke and equipment at best is low end. What happened to good old 2 channel high end audio? I like my surround sound but wish to revamp the two channel for music only.

I live in San Diego and looking for any recommendations on shops to listen, learn and try out new equipment.

    I just posted info on my local highend store going out of business and selling it all. take a trip (2hr) to San Bernardino this weekend and look around you just may find something.

    +1. There's the sound company over on sport's arena as well not too far from stereo unlimited. He kept pushing Arcam on me though... even though I wasn't at all interested.
